Help women facing breast cancer, every step of the way.
For more than 30 years, October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And thankfully, death rates from this dreadful disease have decreased over time because of heightened awareness that’s led to increased screening and improved treatment options.
But this year alone, more than 252,700 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. Many of these cases are uninsured women who could not afford to pay for a mammogram to detect their breast cancer early. These women deserve access to mammograms, so they can be proactive about their health.
But even women who can afford mammograms still face shock and fear when they hear “you have breast cancer”. These women deserve hope and support from women who have walked the same steps.
You can help these women at every step of their journey when you partner with National Breast Cancer Foundation.
When you give to National Breast Cancer Foundation, you help women facing breast cancer by:
- Providing free mammograms and diagnostic services to underserved women through our National Mammography Program
- Helping women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer understand the realities of the disease through Beyond The Shock, a free comprehensive resource
- Guiding breast cancer patients through the complex healthcare system and barriers such as cost, fear, and misinformation through our Patient Navigator Program
NBCF is committed to walking with women on their breast cancer journey at every step of the way. Will you join us to provide care for women right now?
